Venture Global LNG, Inc., through its partner Baker Hughes, has started production at its new Calcasieu Pass liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, USA. Upon completion, Calcasieu Pass LNG is expected to have an export capacity of up to 10 million metric tons of LNG per year.
GE’s Grid Solutions is proud to announce that we have been awarded a contract to provide UK’s Northern Powergrid (NPg) with communications solutions as part of a large digital transformation project. RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminum producer, is now preparing the smelter for launch in Irkutsk Oblast in 2021.
GE Renewable Energy's Grid Solutions business was recently awarded its largest ever grid modernization services contract in Latin America by Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco (Chesf), one of Brazil’s largest electric utility companies. GE will retrofit six of Chesf substations located in the states of Alagoas, Bahia and Pernambuco in northeastern Brazil with its latest state-of-the-art grid technologies.
