Chief Executive Officer

Jason Cooper

Jason Cooper is President & CEO of GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy, a leading provider of nuclear fuel bundles, services, and advanced reactor designs, including the BWRX-300 small modular reactor.

Jason joined GE Vernova Hitachi in June 2025 as Advanced Nuclear CEO and was appointed President & CEO of the business in January 2026.

Previously, he served as President and CEO of GE Vernova Gas Power’s Heavy Duty Gas Turbine Equipment portfolio, where he led a $7 billion global business line spanning commercial operations from project initiation through execution, delivering best-in-class gas power generation solutions.

Jason joined GE in early 2022 as Chief Executive Officer of the Onshore Wind North America business from Dematic, part of the KiON Group, a global leader in supply chain automation and intralogistics solutions, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining Dematic, Jason spent 13 years in a variety of roles across the Linde Group, the world’s largest industrial gas company and a leader in global energy markets. Before Linde, Jason spent 14 years with Air Products in roles spanning project engineering, project development, operations, and project management.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and completed executive education programs at the University of Oxford in the UK.

Chief Commercial Officer

Nicole Holmes

Nicole Holmes leads the global sales, marketing, and contracts team for GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy.  In this role, she heads the team responsible for customer relationships, deal creation, and customer-focused processes, including developing and implementing the business’ commercial strategy.  Nicole is committed to GVH’s mission to provide carbon-free power to the world.

Nicole’s 25+-year energy industry career began in reactor engineering at Duke Energy.  She held positions in engineering and business operations with Duke Energy before joining GE Vernova in 2000.

Nicole earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering with highest honors from North Carolina State University and an M.B.A from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a graduate of GE Vernova’s Lean Six Sigma Program and GE Vernova’s Management Course. She chairs the board for the Strategic Energy Institute at Georgia Tech University and serves on the board of the Cape Fear Salvation Army.
