GE Vernova reports second quarter 2026 financial results and raises 2026 financial guidance

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., (July 22, 2026) – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV), a unique industry leader enabling the world to electrify to thrive and decarbonize, today reported financial results for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026.

“We delivered strong financial results in the second quarter as global demand for our products and solutions continues to grow. With a backlog of $176 billion, continued revenue growth and margin expansion, and significant free cash flow generation, GE Vernova’s momentum is building, and we are raising our 2026 financial guidance,” said GE Vernova CEO Scott Strazik. “We now expect to have at least 125 GW of gas equipment under contract by year-end 2026. To meet this demand, we remain on track to deliver 20 GW of annual gas turbine output in the third quarter of 2026, with 24 GW in 2028, and we are implementing actions to produce 30 GW in 2030. We are also seeing continued demand growth in Electrification, with data center orders reaching over $5 billion year-to-date, more than double our 2025 total. I am proud of how our team is executing with discipline, and I am confident there is substantial value creation ahead.”

"We had a strong first half of 2026 as we executed our financial strategy. Our backlog continued to expand driven by equipment growth at Power and Electrification, with healthy margins from favorable price and disciplined underwriting, and services growth at Power,” said GE Vernova CFO Ken Parks. “Given our significant free cash flow generation, we ended the quarter with a cash balance of $13.1 billion, up $4.3 billion in the year, even as we returned more capital to shareholders so far this year than in the full year of 2025 through our share repurchase actions and quarterly dividend payment. Based on our strong financial performance, we have increased our full year expectations for revenue and free cash flow.”

Hawaiian Electric orders GE Vernova aeroderivative packages to help Hawaii’s power remain stable and uninterrupted

HONOLULU, (July 20, 2026) – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) today announced it has secured a contract with Hawaiian Electric (HECO), the electric public utility in Hawaii, to supply six LM6000VELOX* aeroderivative package units to repower the aging oil-fired steam turbines at its Waiau Power Plant facility in Pearl City, O’ahu. The project is currently on schedule for the first two units to be in commercial operation in 2029, with subsequent units coming online in phases.

These smaller and more efficient aeroderivative turbine units will replace assets ranging from 58 to 67 years old that are currently slated for retirement. Upon completion, this project is expected to add over 250 megawatts (MW) of firm power to the grid, helping ensure reliable service when variable renewable resources like wind and solar are unavailable. 

“The project will repower the facility with proven, fuel-flexible and modern technology,” said Mike DeCaprio, Hawaiian Electric Vice President of Power Supply. “This represents the most significant modernization of the O‘ahu generation infrastructure in decades and it will strengthen the reliability and resilience of our system while supporting the integration of more renewable resources like solar and energy storage.” 

To achieve this, Hawaiian Electric selected GE Vernova’s LM6000VELOX aeroderivative solutions to provide the precise operational flexibility required for the modern Hawaiian grid.

Because Hawaii’s energy grid is isolated and cannot rely on continental interconnections for emergency support, the need for rapid-response capability is paramount,” said Dave Ross, CEO of GE Vernova's Gas Power business in the America’s pole. “By deploying our aeroderivative units, HECO gains the benefit of efficient and modular power assets that can transition from a cold start to full load in under 10 minutes. This jet engine-derived technology is uniquely suited to balance the variable nature of renewable energy, helping to ensure grid stability when it is needed most."

GE Vernova’s aeroderivative packages can operate on a variety of liquid fuels, including biofuels produced locally, and can be converted to run on liquefied natural gas if it becomes available. The project will utilize the current land footprint of Waiau Power Plant and reuse much of the existing infrastructure, which reduces cost and community impact.

GE Vernova expands Advanced Research Center to accelerate the future of energy innovation

NISKAYUNA, NY, July 16, 2026 – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) today hosted the grand opening of its expanded Advanced Research Center Frontier Campus in Niskayuna, New York, marking an important milestone in the company’s long-term strategy to advance energy innovation and develop technologies that support a more reliable, affordable, and secure energy future.

The expanded campus is part of a broader investment of more than $110 million by GE Vernova and the State of New York and is expected to create 75 new research positions. GE Vernova has invested nearly $100 million in the new center, with additional support including $9.635 million in tax credits from the State of New York through Empire State Development (ESD) and an additional $6M in funding from the Focused Attraction of Shovel-Ready Tracts New York (FAST NY) program that contributes to site improvements along River Rd. in Niskayuna. The facility adds new lab, testing, and collaboration space designed to help accelerate breakthrough technologies, deepen collaboration with customers and partners, and strengthen the Capital Region’s role as a hub for energy innovation.

The Frontier Campus is designed to give customers, researchers, government stakeholders, and collaborators a closer look at how advanced research can move from concept to practical application. During the grand opening, guests toured six featured technology stops that reflect the breadth of GE Vernova’s research efforts and their relevance to real-world energy and industrial needs.

Those technologies included Direct Air Capture, where guests saw a research unit designed to capture carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere using a sorbent-based process; AirJoule, a joint-venture created technology that captures water vapor from air and converts it into high-purity distilled water for potential industrial, cooling, and drinking water applications; and a wing-to-wing data center power simulation, an interactive simulation and testing platform designed to help utilities and technology providers manage rapidly growing data center power demand while supporting grid reliability.

Additional tour stops featured Robotics and AI-based Inspection, where robotic assistants and AI-enabled systems demonstrate new ways to improve safety, maintenance, quality, and productivity; materials science for advanced manufacturing, highlighting inspection and discovery tools that can improve the efficiency, durability, and performance of next-generation energy technologies; and advanced power conversion technologies including solid-state transformers and the requisite next generation controls and advanced cooling technologies, enabling a power electronics-based technology that can offer greater flexibility, resilience, and control for future grid networks.

Together, these displays were designed to show that the work happening at GE Vernova’s Advanced Research Center; focused on practical technologies that can help address rising electricity demand, strengthen infrastructure, improve industrial productivity, support decarbonization, and enable a more resilient energy system.

BERLIN, Germany, (16 July 2026): GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) today announced it has been awarded two contracts by Stromnetz Berlin GmbH for the design, delivery and installation of two new high-voltage electrical substations in Wittenau and Neukölln. These grid nodes form part of Berlin’s high-voltage electricity network, helping supply power to several local substations that serve homes, businesses and public infrastructure across the city.

These 110 kV gas -insulated substations use GE Vernova’s SF₆-free g³ technology, an alternative to SF₆, which is a potent greenhouse gas widely used in high-voltage electrical equipment to provide insulation and help prevent electrical arcs. GE Vernova’s g³ technology provides the performance and compact footprint utilities need, while reducing the global warming potential of the insulating medium by about 99% compared with SF₆. 

“Europe’s electrical grids need proven technologies that support reliability, sustainability and speed of deployment,” said Frank Ennenbach, Central Europe Regional Leader for GE Vernova’s Grid Systems Integration business line. “The use of g³ technology in these projects reinforces the role of practical, scalable SF₆-free solutions in modern grid infrastructure, especially in dense urban networks where space, timing and system reliability matter. As Europe invests in strengthening and expanding its power networks, utilities need a choice of high-voltage equipment technologies that reduce overall global warming potential while still meeting real-world infrastructure requirements. We are proud to support Stromnetz Berlin in this important project for Germany’s capital.”

GE Vernova’s SF₆-free g³ technology supports our objective to modernize the grid while reducing the environmental footprint of essential high-voltage equipment.”

As electricity demand grows and cities electrify transport, heating, buildings and industry, grid infrastructure is becoming increasingly important to economic growth and quality of life. Compact, reliable and lower-carbon high-voltage substations are especially important in dense urban environments, where space is limited and network performance is critical.

GE Vernova’s g³ technology is part of our GRiDEATM portfolio; solutions designed to help decarbonize power transmission. The portfolio includes SF₆-free high-voltage equipment, as well as solutions focused on reducing raw material use, extending equipment lifespan and improving grid efficiency.

GE Vernova has operated in Germany for more than a century and is a critical partner in the country’s journey toward net-zero emissions by 2045. Today, approximately 30% of Germany’s electricity is generated using GE Vernova technology. The company supports Germany’s energy transition through major power generation projects, electrification and grid reliability solutions, large-scale transmission infrastructure, and wind energy manufacturing from its Salzbergen facility.

The Wittenau project execution period is expected to extend from June 2026 to March 2031. The Neukölln project execution period is expected to extend from June 2026 to January 2032.The contract was booked in April 2026. Financial details were not disclosed.

GE Vernova modernizes its R&D lab in Italy to support more reliable electric grids

NOVENTA DI PIAVE, Italy —June 30, 2026— GE Vernova today announced the completion of the modernization of its high-voltage research and development (R&D) laboratory at its Noventa di Piave site, near Venice, Italy. The lab tests equipment that helps electricity move safely from where it is produced to where it is needed. The project is part of a broader four-year investment of approximately $7.2 million to strengthen the site’s role in developing technologies for more reliable, flexible and resilient power grids.

As electricity demand grows and more renewable energy connects to the grid, utilities need modern equipment that can perform under more demanding conditions. The upgraded laboratory will help GE Vernova test critical equipment, including transformers and disconnectors, before it is deployed in electricity networks. 

“Reliable grids depend on technologies that have been tested, validated and proven for the most demanding operating conditions,” said Eric Chaussin, VP & CEO, Power Transmission, GE Vernova. “This investment in Noventa strengthens our ability to innovate in Italy, respond to customer needs more quickly and support the delivery of more resilient power systems for customers in Italy and around the world.”

The investment builds on GE Vernova’s continued investment across its Italian electrification footprint, including the recently announced expansion of its manufacturing capacity in Sesto San Giovanni, valued at more than $30 million.

The Noventa di Piave facility is part of GE Vernova’s Electrification segment. With more than 50 years of experience, the Noventa di Piave site has become an important part of GE Vernova’s industrial footprint in Italy. The facility currently employs more than 300 people and plans to add approximately 15 new hires annually over the coming years. The modernization project supports the site’s long-term growth, helps attract skilled talent and strengthens its contribution to the local economy.

GE Vernova’s facilities in Noventa di Piave and Sesto San Giovanni are important parts of the company’s industrial presence in Italy. Together, they bring manufacturing, research and testing capabilities that support Italy’s electricity infrastructure and serve customers in export markets around the world.

GE Vernova has supported Italy’s power sector for more than 100 years. Today, approximately 25% of Italy’s power capacity is enabled by GE Vernova technology.

The investment is part of our larger plans to invest $11B in capex and R&D from 2025 through 2028.
