BROSSARD, CANADA (26 aout 2025) – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) a annoncé aujourd'hui un plan d'investissement de 22,2 millions de dollars canadiens dans ses usines du Québec, pour ses sites de production d'hydroélectricité à Sorel-Tracy et de réseau à La Prairie.

SOREL-TRACY, Canada (August 27, 2025) – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) announced today a plan to invest 22.2M CAD in Quebec factories, for its hydropower Sorel-Tracy and grid La Prairie sites.

TORONTO (June 23, 2025) - GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) today announced plans to establish a cutting-edge Canadian BWRX-300 Engineering and Service Centre in Durham region near the Ontario Power Generation (OPG) Darlington New Nuclear Project site.

The Company intends to invest up to $50M USD on the facility, pending further development and construction of three additional units at the Darlington New Nuclear Project site. 

TORONTO (May 8, 2025) - GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH), today announced that construction of the first BWRX-300 small modular reactor has been approved by the Province of Ontario and Ontario Power Generation (OPG). The approval clears the way for construction of the first of four planned BWRX-300s at OPG's Darlington site to begin soon with completion of the first unit scheduled by the end of the decade.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. CAMBRIDGE, Ontario (January 27, 2025) - GE Vernova’s nuclear business, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH), today announced that it has awarded a contract to BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) to manufacture the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) for the first BWRX-300 small modular reactor to be constructed at Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington New Nuclear Project site.

WILMINGTON, North Carolina (October 31, 2024) — GE Vernova’s Nuclear business (NYSE: GEV), GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH), today announced it has selected Canada-based Worley Chemetics, which has a fabrication facility in Pickering, Ontario, to design and fabricate the isolation condenser system for the BWRX-300 small modular reactor, the first grid-scale SMR in North America.

MARKHAM, Ontario (October 10, 2024) - GE Vernova’s Nuclear business (NYSE: GEV), GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH), today announced it has selected Velan Inc, a Montreal-based company, to provide engineering support and manufacture valves for the first BWRX-300 small modular reactor.
