DAC calculator

Our DAC calculator helps you estimate CO₂ removal potential, and see performance across different scenarios.

GE Vernova's DAC program is backed by our ability to innovate with breakthrough technologies, industrialize through global supply chains, and integrate solutions that reduce energy use across systems.

  • Estimate your total CO₂ removal potential based on your DAC capacity factor.

  • Understand how contributing to a DAC project can help make a carbon reduction impact.

  • See how much carbon a DAC system could remove under different use cases.

Ready to see your carbon removal future? Enter a few details to get started.

Note:

  1. The performance and cost estimates are preliminary at 25oC / 60% RH and plant site at mean sea-level elevation. Site-specific assessment is needed to characterize the DAC system annual performance taking into consideration the daily and seasonal weather shifts.
  2. Fall off in DAC performance over time is normal due to fouling of air filters or sorbent degradation. Proper maintenance practices should restore closer to as-built conditions. However, the estimates provided do not consider any degradation allowance.
  3. CAPEX and LCOC are Nth of kind estimates with cost maturity considered as DAC systems scale up and lessons from similar industrial scale-up facilities considered.
  4. The LCOC assumes the system has access to carbon abated source of power or derived from renewable power source and meets continuous demand of DAC.
  5. Estimated footprint assumes DAC towers of 2-story height. Site-specific aspects like seismicity, wind velocities etc., would need to be factored in to decide optimum economic choice.
