Powered by GE Vernova's advanced turnkey power plant technology, the cogeneration plant will transition the energy supply at Manildra Group’s Shoalhaven Starches plant from existing coal-fired boilers to natural gas-fueled operations.
GE Vernova's aeroderivative cogeneration technology will deliver up to 54 megawatts (MW) of electricity and 210 tons per hour (TPH) of steam on a continuous basis to Manildra Group’s world-class Shoalhaven Starches site operations. Installation of GE Vernova's LM2500 gas turbines and other cogeneration hardware will help this industrial process to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 40%. This transformational project will move Manildra Group toward energy self-sufficiency and support the goals of the Australian government to reduce carbon emissions.
