What can a 7EA ARD upgrade do for you?
The advanced radial diffuser (ARD) delivers performance improvements by building on a proven configuration, offering 7EA and 7E.03 turbine operators increased output and improved heat rate, reduced repair needs, and compatibility with broader 7EA upgrades.
A diffuser built to reduce wear
ARD takes the proven 9E.04 radial diffuser configuration to the 7EA and 7E.03 fleet. The upgrade includes diffuser changes intended to improve the mechanical profile of the component and reduce wear relative to the existing diffuser.
The upgrade includes:
- Increase forward wall slope
- Removing turning vanes from aft diffuser
- More turning incorporated into diffuser shape
- Improved mechanical strut shape configuration
Upgrade suite
7E gas turbine upgrades
ARD is one of three capacity upgrade solutions in the 7E upgrades suite, alongside the high output robust compressor (HORC) and the advanced gas path (AGP). These modular upgrades can be combined to align with your performance goals, outage schedules, and capital plans.
The full 7E upgrades suite also spans additional focus areas, including operational flexibility and asset management.
